Today, I’m on my way to Jakarta. The capital city of Indonesia, city of dreams. I’m on my way to the job interview using train. However, I do realized I did several mistakes before I’m aboarding this train. Here are those mistakes.

Didn’t Expect If The Company Ask You to Go to Interview Right Away

My first mistakes, I was on my way to my home. I submitted the application/referral the day before. On that rainy evening, the human capital called me and asked me to take a skill interview as soon as possible. Well, I didn’t expect it to be this fast.

Assuming That The Interview Conducted Online

Spontaneously, I thought that the interview going to be conducted via Skype. Without hesitation, I propose the interview schedule to be on next Monday. After I got home and checked my email, I just realized that they asked me to go to their office in Jakarta. Well, they didn’t tell me that it should be an offline interview. But, I can’t blame them. I should have asked them in advance to remove assumptions.

Preparing Documents the Night Before

This shouldn’t be repeated ever again. I’m thinking that it’s going to be kinda easy to prepare those documents. And it took me to wake up until 2AM just to fill all those documents up. This makes you prone for mistakes on filling the form and also you might not in your best shape.

Not in Best Shape Several Days Before

This was the worst mistake I did, I have a fever in a train to Jakarta. And I only have several hours to rest before I go to the interview. Make sure you are im your best shape, so that you won’t get sick especially the day before and the interview day.
